The Visionary
Sri V. S. Janardhanan
Born into a family of musicians in Thiruvambady, Thrissur, Sri Janardhanan began learning music at two and a half years old. Over seven decades he has performed on more than 20,000 stages, composed for the great dancers of Kerala, and trained over 10,000 students in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi and Kerala Natanam.
Honoured from the Swathi Thirunal Award to the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Gurupooja Award, he remains — above all — a guru at heart.
